Daviess County Extension Office seeks first deputy

WASHINGTON – The Daviess County Extension Office is looking for a First Deputy.

The incumbent will perform duties according to a flexible, customary routine with work priorities determined by service needs of the public. The incumbent will receive indirect or occasional supervision with assignments guided by definite objective using a variety of methods or procedures. Decisions are always determined by specific instructions or existing, well established policies and procedures.

The incumbent maintains frequent contact with co-workers, other County departments, and members of the public, for purposes of explaining procedures, and/or exchanging information.

The incumbent reports directly to County Extension Director.

The incumbent performs duties in a standard office environment, involving sitting/walking at will, sitting for long periods, lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling objects, bending, crouching/kneeling, reaching, keyboarding, close vision, hearing sounds/communication, speaking clearly, and handling/grasping objects. Incumbent occasionally will work extended evening and/or weekend hours.
