BEDFORD – Big Lots announced that up to 40 locations may close of its 1,389 stores nationwide.
The announcement came during a June filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Big Lots currently operates more than 1,300 stores in 48 states. According to the company website, 45 stores are in Indiana, with another 40 in Kentucky. There has been no word from the company about which stores will close.
The company’s latest U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) also revealed plans to open three new locations. Whether those locations come to fruition or not is yet to be seen.
