Obituary: Sondra Lynn Mosier

February 8, 1950 – July 13, 2024

Sondra Lynn Mosier, a beloved mother, cherished friend, and dedicated educator, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Autumn Trace in Bedford, Indiana. 

Sondra was born on February 8, 1950, to Charles and Betty (Terrel) Baker. Sondra dedicated her life to nurturing minds and fostering a love for learning.

As a devoted educator, Sondra spent 38 years inspiring and shaping the lives of countless students. Her passion for education was evident in every lesson and student she mentored. Sondra began her career at Shoals Community Schools and later worked at Indiana University. She graduated from Fayetteville High School, Indiana State University, and Indiana University.

Beyond the classroom, Sondra was a loving and caring mother whose family meant the world to her. She enjoyed collecting antiques and searching for them with her friends even more. 

She is survived by two children: Reagan (Nichole) Mosier, Bedford, and Erik (Tonya) Mosier, Williams; and five grandchildren: Addison Mosier, Gavin Norman, Gracie (Norman) Waskom, Logan Norman, and April Jette.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 19th, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Brother Duane Terry officiating. Burial will follow at Silverville Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be from Noon until the hour of the service at the mortuary.

Rest in peace, Sondra. Your legacy of love and learning will forever remain in our hearts.
