DUBOIS CO. – The Dubois County Fair was shut down on Monday due to a “situation.”
Dubois County Fairgrounds announced on Facebook Monday night that they had decided to remove the rides from the midway for the remainder of the week.
“As a (Dubois County 4-H) Council, we are doing our best to keep the community safe and make the fair the best we can for all involved,” the Council said in the post. “We encourage you to come out and support the local 4-H’ers this week by attending an animal show and visiting exhibit buildings. Don’t forget to come to support all the food booths of the nonprofit organization.”
There is no word yet on what caused the closure of rides at the Fair.
Events at the Grandstand and Free Stage will continue for the rest of the week, and the fair will continue through Saturday.
