BEDFORD – The North Lawrence Middle School football team is gearing up for the season with afternoon practices throughout August. From Monday, August 5th through Friday, August 9th, and again from Monday, August 12th through Thursday, August 15th, practices will run from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Parkview Field.
Several scrimmages and games are scheduled monthly to test the team’s skills. The first comes on Friday, August 16th, with a home game against Brownstown at 7:00 p.m. The following week features an away game against Jennings County on Wednesday, August 21st, at 6:00 p.m. The team returns home on Friday, August 23rd, to face Martinsville at 7:00 p.m.. The final two games of August are both away contests. The first is at Bachelor on Wednesday, August 28th, at 6:00 p.m. The month concludes with a game against North at BNL on Friday, August 30th, at 7:00 p.m.
It’s important to note that while this schedule doesn’t mention a completed physical as a participation requirement, it’s always a good idea to check with the school’s athletic department. They can confirm necessary paperwork or health checks before players take the field.
