Deputy Carter was in the area of Stars Boulevard and US 50 East and stopped Stinson.

He also confirmed Stinson was driving on a suspended driver’s license.

Stinson said she didn’t know her license was suspended but did admit she had failed to pay a traffic ticket. Stinson had a male passenger in the vehicle, but his driver’s license was also suspended.

Deputies Trueblood and Porter arrived to assist.

Deputy Carter deployed his canine partner, Roko, to search the vehicle’s exterior. Both Stinson and her passenger were reluctant to get out of the car.

Roko alerted on the trunk of the car.

When asked if officers would find drugs in the vehicle, Stinson admitted there was a meth pipe in the car. She also admitted to having a baggy of meth on her person.

Deputy Trueblood also found a baggy of meth in Stinson’s purse. The meth pipe or “chicken bone” was found in the driver’s seat.

Police seized 5.56 grams of meth

Stinson was arrested on two counts of possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jackson Heavy Haul towed the vehicle.
