Bloomington-Monroe County Metropolitan Planning Organization hosts public meeting on 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan

BLOOMINGTON— The Bloomington-Monroe County Metropolitan Planning Organization (BMCMPO) will host an open house-format public meeting on Monday, July 22, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Switchyard Park Pavilion, 1601 South Rogers Street, Bloomington, IN 47404.

The meeting will provide information about the update process for the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (2050 MTP) and invite public comments.

The BMCMPO is preparing an updated multimodal Metropolitan Transportation Plan that will encompass the City of Bloomington, the Town of Ellettsville, and the urbanized areas of Monroe County, Indiana.

The MTP aims to identify recommended improvements to the region’s transportation system by 2050, covering aspects such as roadways, public transit, bikeways, pedestrian walkways, and freight.
