BEDFORD – The City of Bedford has updated its tentative milling schedule for July 18-19 and paving schedule for July 22-July 30 for the following roads.
Milling
July 18:
- Finish Washington Avenue
- E Street from US 50 to 14th Street
- In the afternoon, Brook Knoll Subdivision
July 19:
- Brook Knoll Subdivision
Paving
July 22:
- Washington Avenue
July 23 or July 24, depending on the weather:
- 35th Street
- US 500 to 14th Street
July 29-30
- Brook Knoll Subdivision
There will be no street parking while milling or paving. The schedule is dependent on weather conditions. Work is scheduled daily from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
The postal service and all emergency personnel have been notified of these closures. If you are aware of deliveries, please contact them and let them know of the closures. Please avoid these streets if possible.

Put your residential trash out as usual
Officials report that 16th Street from O Street to Brian Lane Way is still closed. Semi’s use Beech Street, John Williams Boulevard, Mitchell Road, State Road 58, US 50, and State Road 37. They apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation as crews improve city streets.
