Constellation Stage & Screen announces Fall 2024 Educational Programming featuring new ensemble-based classes

BLOOMINGTON—After a fun-filled summer of camps, Constellation is thrilled to kick off the school year with a robust lineup of fall classes that run from September through December. With after-school, evening, and weekend options for Littles (grades K-2), Kids (grades 3-6), Teens (grades 7-12), and Adults (ages 18+), there is a little something for everyone. As a fresh take on previous class formats, Constellation is excited to offer ensemble-focused classes that celebrate the collaborative and community-building nature of the performing arts.

Each ensemble-based class will work on material from a specific show or genre this fall. Classes include Treasure Island for Littles, Acting Ensemble for Kids: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Broadway Kids Chorus, Found Footage Filmmaking for Teens, Musical Theater Workshop: The Broadway Ensemble for Adults, and more.

Eric Shelley

Constellation’s Education Director, Eric Shelley, has seen first-hand the impact of his programming.

“Getting a front-row seat to students’ artistic journeys from week to week allows me to witness the personal growth of the individual and the ensemble. Whether it’s class of 1st graders or adults, the communities built within the walls of Constellation Studios have a strong and enriching collaborative foundation resulting in more confidence, composure, and authentic self-expression across the board.”

Constellation is committed to increasing access to educational programming, offering scholarships in all classes for grades K-12. IU Credit Union sponsors these scholarships and allows qualified students to attend a Constellation class at no cost. Information on scholarship application and eligibility can be found here

In addition to ensemble-based classes, Constellation offers a variety of comedy, improv, and acting classes for all ages. Classes range in price from $115-$225, depending on the length and level of the class. Registration can be found on Constellation Stage & Screen’s website.
