The 44th ABATE Boogie kicks off on Thursday

SPRINGVILLE – It’s time to let loose, be yourself, hang out with your biker buddies, and have a good time at the 44th Annual “ABATE Celebrates America-themed” Boogie.

Officials say the event will allow “You to let down your hair (if you have it) or let other things down, kick back with “family” and not worry about offending someone.”

The Boogie is July 18-21 at Lawrence County Recreational Park in Springville, 99 Moore Lane. It is open to the public. You must be 18 or older and have an ID to enter. ABATE members and non-members are welcome.

The gates open at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, July 18, will remain open throughout the event and close at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, July 21. No pets allowed.

The event will feature live music featuring national and local artists, a Hoosier Honey contest, free tattoo and arm wrestling contests, a free motorcycle rodeo, traditional field events, scenic bike rides, a free ride-in bike show, a motorcycle swap meet, free tent camping and showers, and more.

The cost to enter 4 days for non-members is $70 per person, which includes tent camping, showers, motorcycle parking, and entrance to all events and bands. No advance ticket sales are available.

Saturday only, ABATE members will pay $30 at 7 a.m., which includes tent camping, showers, motorcycle parking, and entry to all events and bands. No advance ticket sales are available.

Saturday, for non-members, the fee is $40 a person at 7 a.m. and includes tent camping, showers, motorcycle parking, and entry to all events and bands. No advance ticket sales are available.

Parking: Cars and trucks are $10.00; trailers are $10.00 (tent camping, motorcycle parking, and shower facilities are included with admission). Four-wheel access is limited to the parking areas and cannot be driven to the tent camping areas. A shuttle is provided to haul your gear to the tent camping areas. Motorcycles have access to all non-restricted areas.

Golf carts, etc.: $75.00. Any vehicle with more than two wheels that does not have a license plate will be required to purchase a special sticker to use during the event. This includes golf carts, ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, fabricated vehicles, and others called Boogie Utility Vehicles, or BUVs. The person registering the vehicle will be responsible for it. All vehicles must have a working headlight to operate at night.

RV Parking: RV campground spots (some with hook-ups) are limited in availability. $100 RV Ranch primitive (no early entry), $150 Hangover Valley primitive, $400 water and electric, $500 front row with water and electric. Reservations allow you to enter on Wednesday, July 17. All RV park reservations allow early entry on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Gates close at 10:00 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) on Wednesday and will not reopen until the start of the event at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.
