The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce announces the five Women Excel Bloomington 2024 award winners

BLOOMINGTON – The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce proudly announces the five Women Excel Bloomington (WEB) 2024 award winners.

Those to be honored at the 2024 Women Excel Bloomington Awards are:

Leslie Abshier – Vice President of Resource Development, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington

Michelle Cole – Partner, Paragraph

Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan – Talent Development and Recruitment Manager, TASUS Corporation

Dr. Gloria Howell – Director of the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center, Indiana University

Samantha Morran – Executive Director, Village Caregiving

These distinguished women were chosen for their exceptional leadership, business acumen, entrepreneurship, and community involvement. 

The 14th Annual WEB Awards celebration will occur on Thursday, August 22nd, from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at One World at Woolery Mill.

Additionally, this year marks a special milestone with the introduction of the Mae Cassady Lifetime Achievement Award, named in honor of the late Mae Cassady.

Mae was the founder and owner of Cassady Electrical Contractors and a dedicated supporter of the Bloomington Women in Leadership (BWIL) group and the WEB Awards. The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce wishes to celebrate her accomplishments and lasting impact on the community. The inaugural Mae Cassady Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan.

The WEB Awards celebrate the achievements of local women leaders who inspire through their actions and initiatives. These women serve as mentors, excel in their professions, and demonstrate outstanding leadership and community service. The WEB Awards is the highlight of the Bloomington Women in Leadership’s annual calendar and honors women who balance professional success with a commitment to volunteerism and civic engagement.
