PUTNAM CO. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a temporary road closure to US 36 just west of Morton.
Beginning on or after Monday, July 22, crews will be closing US 36 between County Road 600 West and County Road 775 West.
During the closure, crews will replace a small structure in the area. Work is expected to last until late August but is weather permitting and subject to change.
The official detour around the closure is State Road 59 to State Road 236 to US 231. INDOT encourages all drivers to seek an alternate route and to use caution while driving around this and all work zones.
