Get your purple pumpkin now and support Lawrence County Coalition Against Domestic Violence

LAWRENCE COUNTY- Support the Purple Pumpkins Fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for the Lawrence County Coalition Against Domestic Violence (LCCADV). This initiative aims to support survivors and spread the message of hope and healing throughout our community.

“None of us are on an island; we are a community,” said Kris Matthews, secretary for the Coalition. “We need to rise above the days when mental health and domestic abuse weren’t talked about.”

How You Can Get Involved:

1. Businesses: Display a Purple Pumpkin

– Show your support by displaying a Purple Pumpkin at your business. This will help raise awareness and show solidarity with those affected by domestic violence. It is free to display pumpkins at your business, contact for info on how to get pumpkins to display.

2. Community Members: Sponsor a Purple Pumpkin

– You can sponsor a Purple Pumpkin for $10. Your sponsorship will contribute directly to the vital services and programs provided by LCCADV.

Displaying a purple pumpkin will raise awareness and show support for survivors of domestic abuse. The goal is for “survivors to have purple pumpkins everywhere and to see people support victims,” according to Amber Richards, Vice President of the LCCADV.

Why Purple Pumpkins?

The color purple symbolizes courage, survival, honor, and dedication to ending domestic violence. By displaying or sponsoring a Purple Pumpkin, you are helping to create a community that stands against violence and supports survivors.
