BLOOMINGTON — A 21-year-old Bloomington woman is behind bars after police say she gave a 12-year-old girl pills, molested her, and shared her with men for sexual acts.
Police arrested Naomi Floren on three felony counts of child molesting, two counts of vicarious sexual gratification with a victim under the age of 14, sexual battery with a deadly weapon, sexual conduct in the presence of a minor, and two counts of neglect of a dependent. She is also facing a misdemeanor charge of delinquency of a minor.
According to court documents, Floren babysat the girl and four other siblings between July 3 and 9. Police say the abuse began when Floren invited a 17-year-old boy, who police have not identified, to her apartment while babysitting. The victim stated Floren told the male she was 15, not 12.
During this visit, Floren gave the girl a pill and told her to take a hit on a marijuana blunt. After the drugs took effect, the 17-year-old male made several unwanted sexual moves on the victim.
The next day, Floren gave the victim another pill and a vape containing THC to smoke. Later that day, Floren took the victim to an upstairs apartment to meet a 54-year-old male called “Rat Guy.” Floren had told the man that the victim was 18.
The man sexually assaulted her and took explicit photos during the incident.
After the attack, the man and Floren left the room. When they returned, they handed the victim $20.
The next day, Floren took the girl to another apartment in the complex to meet two men. She was given an orange pill and something to drink. The girl told police she was “very impaired” but recalls being assaulted and forced to have sex with the two men. The victim reported Floren told the men she was 18.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for Floren’s apartment and found prescription bottles that contained the pills administered to the victim. They seized Floren’s phone after finding explicit pictures and videos of the girl and Floren on the phone.
Floren denied the allegations but did admit to taking the victim to the 54-year-old male’s apartment.
Floren is being held in the Monroe County Jail with a $250,000 surety bond and a $1,000 cash bond. Her Initial hearing is scheduled for July 22 at 1:00 p.m. in Monroe Circuit Court 2 before Judge Larry Blanton.
