INDIANAPOLIS— Low workers’ compensation premium rates directly affect Indiana businesses’ bottom lines. The Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Indiana Workers’ Compensation Conference will feature expert presentations that teach effective strategies for handling claims and cutting expenses.
The conference, presented by statewide law firm Kightlinger & Gray LLP in partnership with Clearpath Specialty, will occur on August 27 at the Ritz Charles in Carmel. Its content is ideal for business leaders, including human resource and personnel directors, safety coordinators, risk managers, benefits administrators, and healthcare providers.
“Margins have been tightening recently for employers due to inflation, so any opportunity to cut costs is extremely helpful,” says Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders. “That’s why we’re pleased to offer this popular conference once again as it serves as an economical and insightful way to learn how to handle these claims and keep your rates manageable.”
The agenda will feature the following sessions: Navigating the bottom line of insurance costs; classifications of head injuries and treatment methodologies within workers’ compensation claims; important, hot employment law topics that are trending in 2024; how to navigate; employment law-related questions; when to seek guidance from an employment lawyer; how to evaluate compensability of claims; how and why claims should be accepted or denied under Indiana law.
Registration is $449 for Indiana Chamber members and $549 for non-members. The event also offers a virtual attendance option. Group discounts are available, and several continuing education opportunities are presented. Register at www.indianachamber.com/conferences.
