KNOX CO. – The Indiana Department of Transportation will host a public information meeting on State Road 441 regarding a paving and road diet project.
A road diet, also known as roadway reconfiguration, is a low-cost project that reallocates space on a roadway to improve safety and mobility for all road uses. It often involves reducing the number of vehicle travel lanes, such as converting a four-lane highway to three lanes. The additional space can be used for other purposes, such as bike lanes, transit stops, and on-street parking.
The public is invited to learn more about the State Road 441 project and have the opportunity to ask questions. A Question and Answer Session will follow a short presentation.
