Steven W. Beavers, 65, of Heltonville, IN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, July 23, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family. He had been ill for six months.
Steve was born on October 30, 1958, in Seymour, IN, to the late Elzie Beavers and Mae (Lonsberry) Murphin. On July 11, 1988, in Sevierville, TN, Steve married Patricia A. (Turpin) Beavers of Heltonville, and she survives.
Steve was a Seymour Baptist Church member and the owner of B & S Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; son, Allan (Shani) Beavers; stepson, Michael Fleetwood; grandchildren: Katelyn (Tanner) Sutherland & Colton Beavers; great-grandchildren: Morgan Wade and Maverick Cade Sutherland; sisters: Connie (Marvin) Reynolds & Peggy (Eddie) Smoot; sister-in-law, Gyla (Jerry) Kinser; nephews: Michael and Marty Reynolds, Brain Smoot, Jerrod Kinser, Shawn and Josh Beavers and Charlie Brewer; nieces, Laura Gilbert, Kena Peek, Pam and Lynn Brewer and Beverly Jo Beavers.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Abe Murphin; a sister, Darlene Brewer; brothers, Richard and Joe Beavers; nephews, Mark Reynolds and Billy Brewer; and a stepson, Dusty Fleetwood.
Funeral services for Steve will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Fairview Community Church, Bedford, with Lindy Hopkins officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, July 25th, at Fairview Community Church from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. until service time on Friday. The burial will take place at Gilgal Cemetery.
