State Sen. Eric Koch to Vice Chair Interim Study Committee on Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications

STATEHOUSE — State Sen. Eric Koch (R-Bedford) will be vice chair of the Interim Study Committee on Energy, Utilities, and Telecommunications to prepare for the 2025 legislative session.

The committee will review the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission’s annual reports this year.  

Legislators will meet over the summer and fall to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members—eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.

Sen. Koch, chairman of the Senate Committee on Utilities, holds a graduate certificate in Energy Policy Planning from the University of Idaho and is an attorney with the Koch Law Firm P.C. He is also the Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary and the Senate Committee on Commerce and Technology. He also serves on the Senate Committee on Corrections and Criminal Law.
