Hatfield and Burris welcome students back to school

MITCHELL – Hatfield and Burris are excited to welcome students back to school! They understand that starting school without meeting your child’s teacher isn’t ideal, but the extra preparation time will make the first day of school even more exciting and positive. Teachers will have the opportunity to create engaging classrooms and innovative ways to showcase student work. They can’t wait to see the results after spending a few days together before their annual Open House on Tuesday, August 6th. They look forward to starting the school year with positivity and support on Monday, August 5th.

As your child arrives on the first day of school, they’ll be greeted by warm and friendly school staff. There will be plenty of extra hands to support and guide your child to their classroom, ensuring they feel safe and welcomed.

No need to bring all the back-to-school supplies on the first day. Your child can bring just the essentials on Day 1. You can bring the rest of the supplies during the Tuesday Open House.

Teachers will be fully prepared to welcome your child with a quality curriculum, engaging activities, and well-organized classrooms. Encourage your child to show you around their classroom during the Open House. It’s a great way for them to share what they’ve learned about their new school.

Kindergarten families have a special orientation on August 5th to help you and your little ones get acquainted before the first day of school. Incoming 3rd graders, you’ve already had a sneak peek of Burris last spring, so you’ll feel right at home when school starts.

They are here to support you and your child every step of the way.
