Brenten Scotler Trueblood, 25, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
He was born January 12, 1999, in Bedford, to LaKindra Harper and Brent Trueblood.
Brenten graduated from Mitchell High School and the Southwest Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. He was a law enforcement officer with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department and a member of FOP Lodge 172, Bedford Boat Club, and American Legion Gillen Post #33 of Bedford. He loved spending time with his daughters and family, his job, riding his motorcycle, and having fun.
Surviving to cherish Brenten’s memory are his parents, LaKindra (Jamie) Harper and Brent (Elizabeth) Trueblood; daughters, Madelyn and MaKinley Trueblood; siblings, Tyler (Ashlee) Trueblood, Scott (Julie Curtis) Trueblood, Keaden Trueblood, Melissa (Tony) Hilkey, Kindalynn Harper, Austin (Hannah) Harper, Katelyn (Nathan) Foddrill; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; grandparents, Vickie Daulton, Mike and Nancy Strunk, Joe (Judy) Trueblood, and Gary and Josie Simpson.
Brenten’s grandmother, Cathy Strunk, grandfather, Bobby Daulton, and brother, Chad Rumsey, preceded him in death.
Funeral services for Brenten will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the First Christian Church in Bedford, with Jeff Nikirk officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the First Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Brenten may be made to the Bedford Federal Savings Bank, account ending in 2940, to benefit his children.
