BLOOMINGTON – Twilight Dairy is a grass-based, grain-free dairy that has been processing on-farm since 2011. It has used organic farming processes since 2002 and became certified organic in 2017. It first began at the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market in 2009.
Twilight produces farm-fresh products that are pure and vegetarian-friendly. Their products are free from food coloring and contain no shelf-life additives—just pure, authentic ingredients.
On Twilight’s market table, you will find an assortment of cheese and various flavors of yogurt. Pictured above are Amos and Hannah Esh. They are located in Booth #B8.
At the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market, on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Showers Common at 401 North Morton Street, you will have access to an enticing array of produce, fresh and in season ― and a lot more ― from local farmers, bakers, artisans, and vendors.
According to the Farmers’ Market Coalition, a study done at Los Angeles farmers markets found that 75 percent of farmers market shoppers come to “do more than just shop.” Other reasons could be to meet up with friends, increase social interaction, and educate themselves on local, sustainable farming practices.
Attending a local farmers market in your community supports local farmers and vendors and is an excellent way for families to spend time together. Everyone can sample fresh fruits and vegetables and participate in family-friendly activities.
Farmers’ markets allow consumers access to locally produced, healthy farm-fresh food, develop face-to-face relationships with the farmers who grow them and enable them to contribute directly to local farm viability.
