Donald William Eads, 86, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at his residence.
Born August 23, 1937, in Monroe County, he was the son of Delbert W. and Edith M. (Garrison) Eads. He married Beulah Estelle Ramsey in April of 1992 and she preceded him in death on July 23, 2018
Donald was a sawyer at Maple Hill Stone Mill and a laborer at other local stone mills. He enjoyed picking on his family, but he really cared about them; they were his greatest joy.
Surviving are his children, Michael “Mike” (Marsha) Eads of Springville, Tina (George Chang) Eads of Bedford, Greg (Vickie) Eads of Bedford, and Twila (Danny) Conley of Bedford; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Bernice Sears of Heltonville.
His parents, wife, mother of his children, Velma K. (Helton) Eads, and brothers, Dennis Eads and Delmer Eads, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Graveside service will be held at a later date at Bethel Cemetery.
