KNOX COUNTY– The Indiana Department of Transportation announces ramp and lane closures for U.S. 50 in Knox County.
Beginning on or around Monday, August 5, crews will begin ramp and lane closures on U.S. 50 in Knox County near Vincennes. Lane closures will occur on U.S. 50 between Hillcrest Road and North 2nd Street. Ramp closures will occur at the U.S. 41 southbound to U.S. 50 westbound ramp and the U.S. 50 eastbound to 6th Street ramp.
Lane and ramp closures will allow crews to perform bridge maintenance operations on the Hillcrest Road bridge, including bridge painting. Depending on the weather, the work is expected to take two weeks to complete.
Motorists are encouraged to utilize the other ramps at the U.S. 41 and U.S. 50 cloverleaf as a detour.
