AVOCA – Do you know how to identify and treat invasive plants growing on your property?
Join officials for a morning walkabout to learn about invasive plants and the effects they have on the environment. You will learn how to identify various species of invasive plants, treatment options, and how to control or manage invasives on your property.
Also, learn about funding that may be available to help you manage invasive species on your land.
The Lawrence County Soil & Water Conservation District, Lower Salt Creek Watershed Project, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, and Lawrence County KIC is putting on the program.
This program will be held on Wednesday, August 14th, from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Avoca Park and Recreation Area, 3178 Avoca Eureka Road.
