Raymond John Frank, 95, of Bedford, passed away on August 1, 2024, at his residence.
Born on August 9, 1928, he was the son of Jan and Rozalia Drab Francikiewicz. He was born and
raised in Chicago and recently moved to Bedford. He married Virginia Eleanor Frohnauer on June 23, 1951, and she preceded him in death
Raymond was a high school graduate and served in the Coast Guard. He was discharged in 1948 due to a heart condition. In his younger years, he enjoyed multiple hobbies, including photography, woodworking, and hiking. He was a test engineer/technician for commercial equipment.
Surviving to cherish Raymond’s memory are his children, Sharon Trask, John Franck, Irene Jones, Joseph Franck, and Mischelle Pfeiffer; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
Preceding Raymond in death were his parents; wife, Virginia; three sisters; and one brother.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Ferguson- Lee Chapel of Thorne-Family Funeral Homes in Bedford, with Pastor Gene Helms officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois. There will be no visitation.
