JENNING CO. — Two people are recovering after lightning struck them Friday at Country Squire Lakes.
According to a post on the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, deputies rushed to an address in County Squire Lakes after a report that two people had been hit by lightning, including a nine-month pregnant teenage female.
The 18-year-old male and pregnant teen were inside a tent outside of the residence.
Deputies rendered aid until Rescue 20 arrived. Both victims were treated for their injuries and were listed in serious but stable condition.
The sheriff’s office received information that the baby was okay.
