BEDFORD – The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County has extended the deadline to register for its co-ed flag football program to August 17th.
The program is open to children in grades K-12, with practices scheduled to begin the week of August 19th. Practices will be based on coach schedules and will not be held the week of August 15th.
Games will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays beginning at 6:15 pm starting the week of August 26th, with teams playing once or twice a week. The season will conclude by October 4th. Games will be held at the Parkview Track next to the Limestone Unit.
A Skills & Drills session to assess players will be held this Thursday, August 8th, at 6:15 pm at the Parkview Track. No equipment is required, although players can wear football cleats and a mouthpiece if they choose. Shirts and flags will be provided by the league.
Registration can be completed through the Boys & Girls Club parent portal. An active club membership is required to register. The registration fee is $45.
