The family thanks the community for their support after the death of Deputy Brenten Trueblood

Deputy Trueblood, 25, was killed after crashing his motorcycle on State Road 445 west of I-69 ramp on Saturday, July 27. Officers responded to the accident at 11:10 p.m.

According to Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Camron Frye, Trueblood was traveling east on State Road 445 toward I-69 when he left the roadway for an unknown reason and came to a stop off the southwest portion of State Road 445 and the I-69 southbound ramp.

Trueblood was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital, but despite life-saving efforts, he died from his injuries.

Deputy Trueblood’s funeral services were held on Thursday, August 1. Community members and businesses lined the streets during his funeral procession.
