Gene G. Parham, 91, of Bedford, passed away on August 7, 2024, at the IU Hospice House in Bloomington. He was born in Bedford on February 2, 1933, to Charles and Jessie Gillen Parham. Gene married Patricia Sue Fish in 1953, and she preceded him in death in 1973; Gene married Mickey Wiseman on December 17, 1978, and she preceded him in death in 2016. Gene worked at Bedford Office Supply, and for Prudential Insurance, he graduated from Shawswick High School and was a veteran of the US Army
from 1953-1955, serving in the Korean War, he was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, where he served as a Deacon. He was an avid NBA basketball fan of the Indiana Pacers; he loved spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan (Chris) Burnett and Dona Parham, 13 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren, as well as Mickey’s children, Lois (Dave) Burton, Walter (Amy) Wiseman, Janet Leonard, and Rita (Nick) Watson.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, six brothers, wife, Patricia Parham, wife, Mickey Parham, daughter, Tami Parham Hargesheimer, grandson, John Leonard, son-in-law, Tom Leonard.
Funeral services will be on Monday August 12, 2024, at 4:30 PM at Cresthaven Funeral Home with Pastor Joshua Burnett, and Pastor Mark Hudelson, officiating, burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens, with military rites by the Bedford American Legion Gillen Post #33, visitation will be on Monday from 1:00 PM until service time at 4:30 PM, condolences may be made at www.cresthavenfh.com.
