BEDFORD—On Tuesday, the Lawrence County Commissioners approved an ordinance increasing some Lawrence County Health Department fee schedules for services and records.
Priscilla Terrell reported that the fees have not been increased since October 2017, and the increases meet state standards. The fees will not exceed the cost of services rendered.
The fees can be found on the Lawrence County Health Department website.
Most permits are available by mail, with most forms on the website. Please call 812-275-3234 with questions or to have a form emailed directly to you.
Childhood immunizations are given at the Lawrence County Health Department BY APPOINTMENT. Appointments are scheduled 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. The Lawrence County Health Department is a member of the Children & Hoosiers Immunization Registry Program – C.H.I.R.P.
Immunizations are offered for Infants, children entering kindergarten, and students 11 through 18 Yrs. of age needing the state-recommended vaccines. There is a $15.00 administration fee per shot. Immunization records are required for all patients. Insurance, Medicaid cards, and/or payment are required during service.
Adult Vaccines are also offered by appointment for patients 19 and older. There are Private Pay vaccines for the insured and “317” state-funded adult vaccines for the uninsured. Insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid cards and/or payments are due during the visit. Vaccines available are Flu, High Dose Flu, FluBlok, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis A/B, Hepatitis B, HPV 9, MCV 4, MMR, Pneumonia, Polio, PCV 20, Meningitis B, Shingrix, TD, Tdap, and Varicella. There is a $15.00 administration fee per shot.

The Lawrence County Health Department is located at 2419 Mitchell Road. It is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. Appointments are scheduled between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. until 3:15 p.m.
