The Commissioners approved a quote of $6,206.00 from Gary’s Welding & Machining LLC to do the work.

The work will consist of:

  • Replacing the steps from the parking lot to the alley behind the annex – $4,600. Work includes fabricating the new steps and railing. The new steps and railing will be manufactured from steel material and painted safety yellow.
  • Replace the handrail on the back of the annex – $1,200.
  • They will also touch up paint anywhere crews perform welding or cutting during the removal and installation.

The cost of repairs will be paid out of the budgeted building maintenance funds. All of those funds were set aside during budgeting for building repairs.

In other business, the commissioners re-appointed Amanda May to the Bedford Public Library Board.
