Daviess County Sheriff’s Department is hosting a Deputy Hiring event

ELNORA – The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a full-time Deputy Sheriff position hiring event.

Interested candidates are invited to North Daviess High School on Saturday, August 17, at 9:00 a.m.

Applicants will undergo a physical fitness assessment and a written test. To participate, they must bring a resume with at least three references and a photo ID.

Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a GED or high school diploma, be a U.S. citizen, and have a valid driver’s license.

Lateral transfers will retain longevity and PTO.

The starting salary is $52,594, and benefits include longevity, retirement plans, vacation, sick and personal days, and possibly vision, dental, and additional life insurance.

Specialty assignments may include K9 Officer, School Resource Officer, Emergency Response Team, Marine Patrols, Crime Scene Investigator, and more.
