INDIANA – Only a few weeks from the September 4th deadline for the Community & Urban Forestry grants. As a reminder, there are three different grants available for application. Information about each grant is below:
Community & Urban Forestry Assistance (CUFA) grant- $230,000 available
- Projects may include inventories, management plans, tree plantings, and more.
State Urban Forest Resilience (SUFR) grant- $148,066 available
- Funding is needed to manage and recover from the emerald ash borer.
- Projects may include removing dead ash trees, treating ash trees, and planting trees.
Natural Disaster Recovery (NDR) grant- $40,000 available
- Funding for the recovery from a natural disaster.
- Projects may include the development/updating of a storm recovery response plan and tree plantings.
