Kathy J. Griffin, 65, of Tell City, passed away on August 14, 2024, at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville.
She was born May 7, 1959, in Bedford, to Clarence “Harland” and Carol Brooking Harris. She married Jesse Griffin, who preceded her in death in October 2000. Kathy earned an associate’s degree in hospitality management from Vincennes University. She was a dietitian in nursing homes. She loved spending time with her grandson and family.
Surviving to cherish Kathy’s memory is her daughter, Katelyn (Andrew) Perry of Crothersville; grandson, Nikolas Perry; sisters, Mary Beth (Doug) Ritchie of Bedford and Donna (Mike) Cavin of Harlingen, Texas; brother, John (Janis) Harris of Cedar Creek, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Kathy in death is her husband, parents, and infant brother, James Harris.
Funeral services for Kathy will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the Ferguson- Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford. Burial will follow at PinhookCemetery. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, August 20th, at Ferguson-Lee Chapel from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
