BEDFORD—Mayor Craig would like to update our community regarding the road closures. The sewer line work at 10th Street and Lincoln Avenue has been completed, and Lincoln Avenue fully opened today, Friday, August 16, at 6 AM.
The City of Bedford has also finished, as of Tuesday, August 13, the utility portion of the infrastructure work on 16th Street. INDOT will complete the remaining road repairs and resurfacing, as 16th Street is also known as US Highway 50. City officials will work with INDOT throughout this project to continue updating the community citizens on the progress of the repairs; however, at this time, a definitive timeline cannot be determined due to unknown repair work.
The City of Bedford and INDOT recognize the importance of reopening this road segment as soon as possible and are working diligently to complete this project safely.
