Karen Elise Hill, 79, went home to heaven on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville Hospital.
Born November 27, 1944, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Roger Pierce and Marie (Wilson) Smith. Karen married Lloyd “Jody” Hill on October 12, 1967, and he preceded her in death on November 18, 2004.
Karen was a 1962 graduate of Mitchell High School and graduated from Spencerian Louisville Business College in 1965. She retired from RCA in Bloomington. Karen was a member of Ladies Aid at Dive Christian Church and attended Waynetown Christian Union Church.
Surviving are her children, Debbie (Patrick) Jones of Columbus, Allen (Marcia) Hill of Waynetown, and Elisha (Dalton) Porter of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Ashley Miller, Kyle Miller, Taylor Miller, Akacia Howe, Akayden Howe, Akaylie Howe, Khole Porter, Lilly Porter, and Sofia Porter; great-grandchildren, Xander Pace, Willow Caraway, and Koltyn Miller; brother, Jim (Annabelle) Pierce of Mitchell; sisters-in-law, Janet Pierce and Judy (Bruce Manion) Corwin; brothers-in-law, Arthur Hill and Henry (Amy) Hill; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents; husband; son, Dustin Hill; brother, Doug Pierce; son-in-law, Wade Miller; brother-in-law, John Corwin, and niece, Cheryl Pinnick, preceded her in death.
Cremation has been chosen with graveside service at a later date at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
