BLOOMINGTON – Eastern Greene Fire Territory extinguished a tractor-trailer fire on I-69 Sunday night.
The fire consumed the vehicle.
At approximately 10:00 p.m., firefighters and first responders were dispatched to the on-ramp of I-69 and State Road 445 following reports of a vehicle on fire.
The Monroe Fire Protection District assisted in battling the blaze.
Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading into the trailer.
The 2015 Kenworth semi was destroyed, but the trailer was saved.
No injuries were reported.
Ken’s Westside Service and Towing also assisted with towing and cleanup.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
