When police arrived, Bultman had left, but Captain Drew Lemke found him near 20th and O Streets. Police say Bultman was upset and crying, saying he was not suicidal or homicidal. Because no crime had been committed, Bultman was released.

At 10:10 a.m., officers returned to the home after a report Bultman had returned and was choking another male.

According to Bedford Police Officer Derek Blackwell, when police arrived, they spoke to Bultman, his father, mother, sister, and niece. Bultman was separated from the group and taken to the porch while officers investigated.

Bultman told police he returned to the home looking for his THC vape. He said his father was recording him, and he told him several times to stop and tried to push the tablet he was using to record him out of the way.

His father told police that Bultman returned to the home and argued with his sister. He attempted to intervene, and Bultman hit him in the arm and grabbed him, causing pain and redness. He then grabbed his father by the throat, and he couldn’t breathe. Bultman’s 2-year-old niece was present during the confrontation.

Bultman was arrested on charges of domestic battery in the presence of a child under the age of 16 and strangulation.
