Kathy I. Perkins, 65, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 12:59 p.m. at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
She was born in Terre Haute on April 25, 1959, to John C. Sellers, Sr., and Deliliah Sue (Rainey) Sellers. Kathy married Roger Perkins on December 29, 2006, and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2023. Kathy graduated from Shoals High School in 1977 and Indiana Business College with an associate’s degree in business. She worked in accounting at Cook, Inc. in Bloomington for over 20 years. She was a dedicated grandmother who loved spending time with her grandkids. She also enjoyed bonding with them while learning and discovering their interests; she loved to make jewelry, do rock hunting and collecting, learn new things and docuseries, and enjoy motorcycle riding.
Survivors include one daughter, Natasha Jones Young of Columbia, Missouri; one son, Nathan Jones of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Rosemik Young, Iris Ryn Reichlin, Ira Jones, and Mattie Gregory; one brother, John C. (Becky) Sellers, Jr. of Shoals; one sister, Deliliah (Joe) Burnette of Williams; and her caretaker and best friend, Patty Turner of Bedford.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Delilah Sellers, husband Roger Perkins, and one son, Dustin Koal Warren.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home. Kathy’s final resting place will be Trinity Springs Cemetery. Friends may visit from 3:00 PM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
