ORLEANS—The Orleans Fire Department is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $5000 grant from the Orange County Community Foundation to expand its vehicle extrication tools. The department has selected to obtain a battery-powered TNT Ram to complement its other battery-powered tools.
These high-powered extrication devices operate around 10,000 psi and act as a man-portable hydraulic ram to separate wreckage. Having one of these pieces of equipment available will help keep the public safe and rescue those in need from danger.
