INDIANA – Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Indiana, a leading managed care provider of health benefits for Indiana residents enrolled in the state’s Medicaid programs, Hoosier Healthwise (HHW), Hoosier Care Connect (HCC), Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) and Indiana PathWays for Aging, announced today that Lynn Scott has been named president of its Medicaid health plan.

We are confident in Lynn’s leadership as we continue our mission to improve health and lives across Indiana.”
In her new role, Scott assumes responsibility for all aspects of Anthem’s Medicaid health plan operations in Indiana, ensuring its more than 700,000 members receive access to innovative, high-quality healthcare and support services. Anthem is the only Indiana Managed Care Entity serving all four state Medicaid programs. She will also lead efforts to strengthen relationships in the community with state leaders, providers, and other key stakeholders.

Scott, a seasoned veteran in the managed care industry, brings nearly 20 years of experience and
executive leadership to the role. With a robust background in healthcare, Scott has earned a reputation
for transforming business models and building high-performing teams. Her deep expertise in health
benefits has enabled her to successfully focus on and support State, City, and County Governments, as
well as manage a diverse group insurance portfolio.
Scott is a graduate of Providence College and holds a Master of Business Administration from Duke
University. In 2019, she was honored as one of the 25 Most Influential Black Women in Business by The
Network Journal. Beyond her professional achievements, Scott is committed to mentoring young
women and girls through organizations like the YWCA. She is also passionate about the therapeutic
benefits of animals, especially dogs, in improving the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of
veterans, the disabled, and the elderly.
Scott replaces Dr. Kimberly Roop, who has chosen to devote more time to her family.
