MADISON CO. – Indiana State Police Troopers, Crime Scene Investigators, Detectives, and the Central SWAT Team served a search warrant at a Pendleton residence this morning after a report of domestic battery that occurred on August 24, 2024.
On August 25, 2024, around 10:00 am., the Indiana State Police Central SWAT Team served the active search/arrest warrant on Daniel Robert Penticuff, 48, of Pendleton, for domestic battery.
An investigation by Trooper Blake Stephenson revealed on the early morning of August 24, 2024, Penticuff was in a verbal argument with a female at a Madison County residence that the two shared. The verbal argument turned physical, resulting in the female sustaining injuries during the altercation. The female was able to get away from the residence, contact a relative, and was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Penticuff peacefully cooperated with law enforcement during the search warrant. After interviewing Penticuff, Indiana State Police Troopers, Crime Scene Investigators, Detectives, and the Central SWAT Team searched the Pendleton residence this morning. This was in response to a domestic battery report on August 24, 2024.
On August 25, 2024, around 10:00 am, the Indiana State Police Central SWAT Team executed an active search and arrest warrant for Daniel Robert Penticuff, 48, of Pendleton, for domestic battery. Following an investigation by Trooper Blake Stephenson, it was revealed that in the early morning of August 24, 2024, Penticuff was involved in a verbal argument with a female at their shared residence in Madison County. This escalated into a physical altercation, leading to the female sustaining injuries. She managed to leave the residence, contacted a relative, and was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment. Penticuff cooperated peacefully with law enforcement during the search warrant. Following an interview with Penticuff, he was taken into custody and transported to the Madison County Jail.
Daniel Robert Penticuff was arrested and preliminarily charged with three offenses:
- Domestic Battery, a Class 6 Felony
- Criminal Confinement, a Class 6 Felony
- Strangulation, a Class 6 Felony
The South Madison Fire Territory assisted Trooper Blake Stephenson during the scene processing. The ISP North SWAT team also assisted the ISP Central SWAT team during the operation. He was taken into custody and transported to the Madison County Jail.
