BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence battled through a heat advisory and brought the heat against Bloomington South, carding a win on the front nine at Bloomington Country Club on Tuesday.
The No.18 Stars posted a team score of 165, while the Panthers finished with 217.
Kinleigh Root and Sammie Nusbaum paced BNL with 4-over 40s.
“I’m proud of the team for battling through the heat and managing decent scores,” BNL coach Kori Johnson said. “The greens were a challenge as usual, and it was really dry, so we struggled getting the ball to stick on the green on our approaches. But we did a good job of adjusting and fighting through.”
Ellie Horton had a 41 and Emma Endris capped the team scoring with 44.
BNL will finally make its home course debut on Thursday, hosting Martinsville.
