MITCHELL – A Mitchell man, 62-year-old Warner Martin, was arrested on Sunday, August 25, after being accused of interfering with a police investigation and assisting a criminal.
The incident unfolded at 7:30 p.m. when Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Deputies and Mitchell Police officers responded to an apartment in the 300 block of East Frank Street to serve an arrest warrant on Tonya Hattabaugh, who was wanted for a probation violation.
Despite initial denials from Martin, Hattabaugh was eventually found inside the apartment, leading to the arrests of both Hattabaugh and Martin.
