MONROE CO.— Quarterhill, an Indiana Department of Transportation contractor, plans to conduct temporary nighttime lane closures on I-69 south of Bloomington beginning on or after Wednesday, September 4, to complete in-road sensor maintenance work in Monroe County.
Weather permitting, the work is expected to take up to three nights.
The lane closures are currently scheduled as follows:
- Wednesday, September 4, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. (weather permitting): The right lane of northbound I-69 will close between S.R. 37 and Rockport Road near mile marker 114 in Monroe County.
- Thursday, September 5, from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. (weather permitting): The left lane of northbound I-69 will close between S.R. 37 and Rockport Road near mile marker 114 in Monroe County.
- Thursday, September 5, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (weather permitting): The left two lanes of southbound I-69 will close between Rockport Road and S.R. 37 near mile marker 114 in Monroe County.
- Friday, September 6, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (weather permitting): The right lane of southbound I-69 will close between Rockport Road and S.R. 37 near mile marker 114 in Monroe County.
INDOT reminds motorists to slow down, use caution, and drive distraction-free in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
