Sharon Elaine (Brock) Rainey of Williams, IN, passed away on August 28th, 2024, at 67.
Sharon was the epitome of Grace under pressure. She was challenged to face more than her fair share of life-changing diagnoses, but like a diamond, that pressure only made her shine brighter. Throughout the valiant fight, she maintained her altruism, kindness, and immense love for her friends and family.
Sharon was the firstborn child of Roy Lee (Wheetie) and Regina Brock on August 7th, 1957. She attended Fayetteville High School, where she met and married the love of her life, Jack Rainey, in 1974. She was profoundly proud of her husband’s tenacity and work ethic. His resilience and tender care provided her with immense comfort to the end.
Jack and Sharon began the adventure that would be their beautiful life together by welcoming their two children, Jason in 1975 and Shanon in 1977. Sharon’s world revolved around her children. She took pride and joy in her role as a homemaker, and her wonderful children are evidence of her success.
The promotion from mother to grandmother was a role Sharon was born for. She dedicated her life to orchestrating fantastic memories, teaching valuable lessons, embarking on numerous adventures, and supporting each of her grandchildren beyond compare.
To be loved by Sharon was always to be thought of. Her selfless spirit and sharp mind contributed to her affinity for gift-giving, and she had the uncanny ability to curate the perfect collection of your favorite things. She was the kind of person who would empty her cup to ensure that yours was always filled.
