Stars finish 21st in Hall of Fame Classic

BNL’s Emma Endris carded an 82 during the Hall of Fame Classic at The Legends on Saturday.

FRANKLIN – Bedford North Lawrence finished 21st in the strong field during the Hall of Fame Classic at The Legends on Saturday.

The Stars, ranked 16th in the state poll, posted a team score of 362. No.2 Westfield won the title with 305, followed by No.1 Noblesville (310), No.7 Franklin (311) and No.11 Center Grove (311) in a 21-team field that included 16 ranked teams.

Emma Endris paced BNL with an 82 that included two birdies (the 13th and 17th holes). Sammie Nusbaum fired an 86.

“Emma played really well,” BNL assistant coach Carly Stigall said. “She kept the ball in play, hit her targets, and got the ball in the hole. Sammie did a great job of keeping herself mentally in the game to bring in a solid number.“

Ellie Horton (95) and Kinleigh Root (99) capped the scoring for the Stars.

“Not the round we were hoping for,” Stigall said. “We have some things to work on before we play again, but I know this group will take this round and use it to motivate themselves to adjust and reset.”

BNL will host Seymour on Tuesday.
