DAVIESS CO. – The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting that took place at a home on State Road 257, just north of Veale Creek bridge.
Around 8:17 p.m. on Monday, September 3, Daviess County Central Dispatch received a call from a resident reporting that a man had pulled into their driveway and was arguing with her husband.
Both men were armed, and shots were fired, leading to the death of one individual. The names of those involved had not been released.
The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that all parties involved are cooperating with the investigation, and the family of the deceased has been notified.
Once the investigation is complete, the findings will be forwarded to the Daviess County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
Several agencies, including the Daviess County Ambulance Service, the Daviess County Coroner’s Office, the Indiana State Police, and Countryside Wrecker Service, assisted at the scene.
