GREENE CO. – The Greene County Humane Society is hosting free microchip mini-clinics for cats and dogs.
The goal is to chip at least 300 animals through their 2024 drive. The event is sponsored by the Greene County General Hospital.
The events will take place:
- Saturday, September 7, at the Cincinnati Christian Church,11432 East State Road 54, Bloomfield (Cincinnati), from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Saturday, September 7, at the Feed Store Beer Co.,750 West Main Street, Bloomfield, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturday, September 21, at Meek Financial Services Raymond James, 89 A Street NE, Linton, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Saturday, September 21, at the Jasonville United Methodist Church, 303 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The events are only open to Greene County residents. No registration is needed.
When arriving at a clinic, all attendees are asked to wait in their vehicle. A volunteer with the Humane Society will come to you to begin the check-in process. Also, all dogs must be on a leash, and all cats must be in a carrier. The Humane Society will have leashes and carriers on site if needed.
Most dog microchips are placed in the owner’s vehicle, while cat microchips are placed in a secure location to prevent the animals from escaping.
