INDIANA – Fifty-five judicial officers nationwide will meet with over 4,300 students and civic group members in September 2024 to celebrate Constitution Day.
Juvenile Referee of Lawrence Circuit Court Anah Gouty will visit St. Vincent de Paul and Mitchell Junior High students. Circuit Court Judge Nathan Nikirk will visit students at Bedford Middle School.
Indiana courts commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787, with a program that brings judges into schools and their communities.
Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution by thirty-nine brave men on September 17, 1787, recognizing all who are born in the U.S. or by naturalization have become citizens. This year, Constitution Day is Tuesday, September 17.
